La forestiere all-natural whole roasted chestnuts are a perfect stuffing for poultry or side dish when sauteed with vegetables such as brussel sprouts. These chestnuts are processed in the ardeche region of france, known for its chestnut groves that were planted as far back as the 13th century. We choose the finest quality chestnuts, picked from early september through november, shelled by hand and packed to retain their delicious flavor. These are gluten-free, sodium-free, fat-free and cholesterol-free. Suitable for vegetarians and vegans. Contains tree nuts. Includes one 14.8 ounce jar of whole roasted chestnuts.
