Description
Karisalankanni, botanically called Eclipta prostrata, is a herb that is found in plenty after rains. This plant, popularly called as bringaraj, is widely used in Ayurveda and Siddha for hair care, skin care, and health ailments. The flowers look like a small daisy and hence called as a false daisy in English. The leaves of the bhringraj plant (Eclipta prostrata) are used to make bhringraj powder, a herbal powder. The leaves are ground into a fine powder after drying and being ground. It is frequently used to treat hair and is thought to nourish the scalp, stop hair loss, and encourage hair growth. Bhringraj powder can be added to homemade face packs or blended with other natural substances like yogurt or coconut oil to make hair masks.
