Premium Japanese Matcha Green Tea Powder Our Japanese Matcha green tea powder is made with young first flush green leaves, quickly steamed to seal in the goodness. The 100 natural, shade-grown leaves are turned into Matcha powder using a traditional grindstone - nothing else is added. Smooth, balanced and without the bitterness of lower quality Matcha, our Matcha green tea is full of flavor and aroma. If you prefer not to drink Matcha straight, smoothies and lattes are great with almond or coconut milk and Matcha powder. Brew the perfect bowl of matcha Why not try drinking Japanese Matcha the traditional way? Boil fresh water in a kettle and allow to cool to around 80C. Pre-heat your matcha bowl by filling it 1/3 full with hot water. Stand a bamboo whisk (Chasen) in the water for a minute to soften the bristles, then empty and dry the bowl. Add two bamboo scoops (Chashaku) - about 2g - of Matcha green tea powder to the bowl. Pour 60-100ml of hot water into the matcha bowl and whisk for 1-2 minutes until the tea becomes frothy.
