Despite its name, Date Sugar isnt really sugar, but simply granulated dried dates! The dates are cleaned, pitted, dehydrated and ground, resulting in our Date Sugar. This unrefined natural sweetener lends a unique sweetness with notes of butterscotch. Because this sugar is made from whole, dehydrated dates, it easily absorbs moisture in recipes. For best results, either decrease the dry ingredients or increase liquids in recipes. Anthonys Date Sugar is Non-GMO and Gluten Free.
