Description
Bernbacher Nockerlgriess - (semolina dumplings) are easy to prepare and make a delicious addition to chicken and vegetable soups. To prepare mix 2 tablespoons butter (room temperature), one medium egg, a pinch of salt, and a pinch of nutmeg in a bowl. Add contents of one packet and mix well. Use a teaspoon to drop by spoonful's into boiling broth. Boil for twenty minutes. Let dumplings cook for an additional 5-10 minutes before serving. (Do not try to make dumplings too big, as they will expand in size during the cooking process.)
