Description
Description CAFE QUINDIO is a family owned and women-owned business from Armenia, the capital city of the Quind o State in Colombia. Our story is full of magic and entrepreneurship. Back in the early 1990 s, our founder, Nubia Motta Camargo, found an opportunity in roasting at origin premium coffee beans. Back then, these premium beans were not sold locally and were reserved for the international market. It was a risky move since the local market was not used to drink good quality coffee, but a move that 30 years later, has given CAFE QUINDIO a special place in the heart of all coffee lovers. What was born as a dream, is now a reality, one in which over 400 employees work fully committed to offer you the best cup of coffee from local coffee growers roasted and packed at origin. Quind o State, from where our name comes from, is located is the center of Colombia, that s why we call ourselves the Coffee from the Heart of Colombia . This strategic location gives our State the privilege of having flat terrain as well as the majestic Andes Mountains. This difference in altitudes, allows the region to offer different varieties of Arabica coffee, each with its unique characteristics of flavor, notes, body and texture. Our Milk Chocolate Specialty Harvest coffee is the perfect blend of varieties Colombia and Castillo of coffee harvested between 4465-4921 feet above sea level 1300-1500 m.a.s.l in the town of Cordoba, in the Andes Mountain Range. The soil property of this altitude highlights tasting notes of chocolate and brown sugar. Its medium roast with its medium-low acidity, offers you a cup of coffee with a medium-round body and cocoa residual notes along with a chocolate and hazelnut fragrance and scent. The sourcing from the same farms gives this coffee and exceptional consistency and quality.
