In general, green tea comes from the same source as white, oolong, and Black tea; the tea bush known to botanists as Camellia sinensis. All teas are generally distinguished from each other by where they come from and how they are fermented. In a traditional Gunpowder tea; full, tender young leaves are rolled into loose pellets while drying and explode into full green tea leaves when brewed. For this teabagged version, the same concept is employed, but with smaller leaf pieces so you can enjoy the full flavour and quality of a whole-leaf tea with the convenience of a teabag.
