Description
Due Cellucci tomato sauces are all natural and made only from real, whole foods. They are handmade in New York in small batches so that every jar tastes homemade...but without all the work for you. Our mission is to fill your belly and warm your heart. My brothers and I were raised on the homemade sauces from my family's restaurant. My Brother, Enzo, had a plan to "spread the love" and jar our sauces. Sadly, Enzo lost his battle with Leukemia in 2003. I now have two boys of my own, my "Due Cellucci" (two little birds). With them in mind, I decided to finish what my brother started. It is with the same care for fresh ingredients that I learned from my father that I share these sauces with you. In honor of my brother, proceeds from each jar of Due Cellucci will go to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Our recipes are true to the way my family has made them for over 50 years. All our products are hand cooked so we can ensure each jar of sauce tastes the way my grandfather made it in Naples. We start by selecting the best imported San Marzano Italian tomatoes. A good sauce should be cooked slowly in order to build the flavor. So we use specially designed kettles that allow our sauces to take the time they need to create a flavor that is bright and layered. Once cooked, the sauce is immediately jarred while piping hot and individually sealed by hand. We then personally inspect each jar so you can expect homemade taste at your table. My hope is that our sauces will transform your pasta, vegetables, fish and meats into delicious meals and do a little good in the process. PS: It's pronounced "Dew-eh cheh-lou chee"
