Achiote Rojo Yucateco Spiced Seasoning Red Achiote Paste by El Mexicano. Achiote is a red seasoning paste or special marinating mix, used to give all types of meat an authentic Mexican Mayan food flavor. El Mexicano Achiote is a brand of Marquez Brothers International, Inc.
Features
- Achiote is another name for Annatto Seeds. (Bixa orellana) and achiote paste is the Mexican condiment that gets its main flavour and color from annatto seeds.
- PERFECT FOR: Latin dishes that require an infusion of color and brightness, or acidic flavors. Great in grilled chicken, pastor-style tacos, shredded pork sandwiches, cochinita pibil, and many other dishes. The paste can also be added to empanada and tamale dough for color and flavor.
