Solidago Virgaurea, also known as Goldenrod, is a herbaceous perennial plant native to Europe, Asia, and North America. It has bright yellow, slender, spikes of flowers that bloom in late summer to early fall, attracting pollinators such as bees and butterflies. The plant can grow up to 1.5 meters tall and has leaves that are lance-shaped and alternate along the stem. Goldenrod has various culinary and decorative uses. One simple recipe that uses Goldenrod is a herbal tea. Ingredients: 1 cup of fresh Goldenrod flowers 2 cups of boiling water Instructions: Pick a handful of fresh Goldenrod flowers, making sure to remove any leaves or stems. Put the flowers in a teapot or heatproof jug. Pour boiling water over the flowers. Let the tea steep for 5-10 minutes. Strain the tea through a fine sieve and discard the flowers.
