Description
Blend of Exciting Spices & Herbs The term "curry" is a take on the Indian word "kari", a reference to a gravy or thick sauce in Indian cuisine. Legend has it that during the British West Indian colonization, the distinctive curry powder spice blend was created by the British to evoke the warm and robust flavors of Indian dishes that the colonists had come to love during their occupation of India. Today, with its unique combination of exotic spices, curry powder is now central to the creation of a variety of finger-licking "curry" dishes within the Caribbean community. It is especially famous in Guyana and Trinidad where celebrations and even competitions are highlighted by variations of "curry" dishes.
