Share Jim Dandy Quick Grits with your family and friends- not only for breakfast, but also in delicious side dishes and casseroles. These fine-textured grits have been precooked and dehydrated so when done, They should feel super smooth, not gritty or sandy. Remove from heat and add cup whole milk or cup heavy cream, add 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, and teaspoon salt for a delicious nutritious meal or side dish. They are also high in B vitamins, such as niacin, thiamin, riboflavin and folate, either naturally occurring in the corn kernel or added back after processing. B vitamins help keep metabolism, cells and energy levels healthy. Grits are also rich in lutein and zeaxanthin, two antioxidants that keep eyes healthy.
