Description
What Is Krill? Krill are small shrimp-like crustaceans primarily found in the coldest waters of the Antarctic Ocean. Krill are exponentially important to the oceans ecosystem as they are the primary food source for many marine animals including whales, penguins, and seals. To ensure that the ocean's ecosystem and marine life have what they need to not just survive but to thrive, Krill fishing is strictly regulated by the Commission for the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources (CCAMLR). The CCAMLRs strict guidelines guarantee that Krill are never overfished and that all practices are done sustainably. Krill are the start of the oceans food chain and feed solely on phytoplankton, because of this they have a low risk of contamination from pollutants. Who We Are?
