• The inspiration for Samphire came after a long Sunday lunch in Hammersmith. Foregoing coffee for a fresh sprig of verbena from the garden, I was captivated by its clean, cool aroma
• Moving from the garden to the lab, we blended rapier-like juniper, citrus oils, and hints of lavender, basil and rosemary
• These blend with verbena to layer over base notes of white amber and oak moss to create a crisp, cool, assured scent with a lightness of touch that belies its complexity and longevity on the skin
• When we had finished, the scent was so clearly evocative of the seashore we could only call it Samphire
