The Long-handle Toenail Clipper is designed to give individuals with disabilities and/or a lack of mobility the opportunity to maintain foot hygiene privately and independently without the assistance of another individual such as a family member or nurse. The product consists of a long handle with grips and a plunger at the top that once pressed, the toenail clippers at the bottom of the extended handle are engaged, clipping the toenail. The clippers contain a 4mm wide jaw opening to further enable those with even the thickest of toenails to maintain personal foot hygiene. Using the Product: From a seated position with the users knee at 90 degrees, place one hand on the comfort grip in the middle of the clipper and the other with two fingers curled around each of the rubber holds at the top along with the thumb resting on top of the plunger. Line up the bottom jaw of the toenail clipper under the desired toenail to be trimmed. Ensure you have a clear view to guide the jaws of the clipper to trim the toenail and avoid injury. Slowly and firmly press the plunger down and release once nail is trimmed to allow the clipper to reopen. Repeat for each use.
