Nasi kuning is fragrant yellow Indonesian rice. One of Indonesia's culinary icons, it is a popular celebratory food usually served at special occasions. The rice will be served in a cone shape called "tumpeng" to represent the Golden Mountain and thus good fortune and gratitude. This yellow rice is usually served with various side dishes such as grated omelette, fried chicken, Sambal Goring ATI, Balado, French fries, Tempe and stir-fried peanuts.
