bPremium Kyoto Uji Matcha Green Tea Powder/b pKyoto Uji Matcha is our highest grade Matcha, prepared from young first flush green tea leaves at Uji in Kyoto, the birthplace of the Japanese tea ceremony. Mild, mellow and refined, this Matcha green tea is stone-milled in the traditional way, and has a slightly sweet aftertaste and none of the bitterness found in lower grades. This top quality Matcha green tea powder produces a premium tea with a vibrant, green color in the cup./p bBrew the perfect bowl of matcha/b pWhy not try drinking Japanese Matcha the traditional way? Boil fresh water in a kettle and allow to cool to around 80C. Pre-heat your matcha bowl by filling it 1/3 full with hot water. Stand a bamboo whisk (Chasen) in the water for a minute to soften the bristles, then empty and dry the bowl. Add two bamboo scoops (Chashaku) - about 2g - of Matcha green tea powder to the bowl. Pour 60-100ml of hot water into the matcha bowl and whisk for 1-2 minutes until the tea becomes frothy. Drink the matcha tea directly from the bowl./p bOcha & Co.
