Grade A DARK ROBUST pure maple syrup is aged in freshly emptied bourbon barrels for 6 to 9 months. Our bourbon barrel aged pure maple syrup is delicious on waffles, French toast, pancakes, yogurt, fresh fruit, granola, oatmeal or ice cream. Brush on grilled pork, chicken or fish. Pure maple syrup is a healthy all natural sweetener in coffee, tea, salad dressings and marinades. Each spring we collect the fresh organic sap of hard maple trees with a modern sap tubing network. Our wild hard maple trees grow in the ancient soil of Appalachian mountains. The fresh sap is flows through the tubing to a collection tank in the forest, from the sap there it is transported to our sugar house. We use a high efficiency wood fired evaporator to boil the sap into pure maple syrup. It takes 50-60 gallons of maple sap to make one gallon of pure maple syrup. Once the golden maple syrup is graded we hand select several batches for aging in bourbon casks. The casks are stored for 6-9 months and bottled when the bourbon flavor has infused into the maple syrup.
