Please note that it is also highly potent, so a little bit goes a long way. We've included some important tips below for using Tangerine Oil. Tips for Working with Tangerine Oil: Tangerine Oil is not water-soluble. It's soluble in oil, which is ideal for making chocolates and coatings. Standard use is 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon of Tangerine Oil per pound of coating or chocolate. Tangerine Oil will solidify if stored in an environment below 59F. If it solidifies, just warm the oil until it becomes liquid again. Wear gloves and eye protection when handling Tangerine Oil. It is very strong. Tangerine Oil is 3 to 4 times the strength of water or alcohol-based extract. When substituting Tangerine Oil for extract, use 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon of oil for 1 teaspoon of extract.
