Description
Nigella oil is extracted from the seeds of the Nigella sativa plant. It has a spicy, slightly peppery flavour and is often added to dishes such as curries, flatbreads, marinades and sauces. It can also be used as a seasoning. Nigella, also known by its scientific name Nigella sativa, is an annual herbaceous plant belonging to the Ranunculaceae family. It can reach a height of 20 to 30 centimetres. It has a slender, upright stem with finely-cut green leaves that alternate and are linear to lanceolate in shape.
