Description
The Colombo Agricultural Company was born around 1800 in the countryside of Rotello and operates on an area characterized both by the rolling hills of the Molise fields and by extensive plains that reach the nearby northern Puglia, The company has based its work philosophy which is still today linked to values such as the recovery of local traditions, the reduction of the environmental impact, the safeguarding of seeds of ancient varieties and at risk of extinction. The ancient grains sown in the fields meet the requirements of food quality and safety without undergoing modifications to increase their yield or alterations to modify their characteristics. The ancient wheat chosen, then transformed into pasta, is the Senatore Cappelli variety, a wheat born and grown in Italy. High ear with deep roots, characteristics which, by naturally inhibiting the presence of weeds to be eliminated by pesticides, make it an ideal grain to be grown organically.
