Coconut Oil is a natural cleansing agent that brings a lot of the bubbles you will see in this soap. It provides a protective layer that has antibacterial, antifungal, and antiviral properties. Lye also known as Sodium Hydroxide is a necessary cleansing agent that turns these oil and butters into actual soap.
