Description
Mint flavoured sweets. The Classic, the Mints Mint what more can we say? Its what weve all grown up with. Its what made the Mint People do what they do. As long as theres Mint theyll be Extra Strong. Trebor was founded in 1907 when William Woodcock (a sugar boiler) and Robert Robertson (a grocer), Sydney Marks and Thomas King each put 100 into a partnership to form a confectionery company. Originally known as Robertson & Woodcock, the name changed to Trebor when the company moved into Trebor House in Upton Park, London. Trebor mints were launched in 1935, with the launch of Trebor Extra Strong two years later. Murray Mints arrived in 1944, but we had to wait almost 40 years until 1981 for Softmints. Trebor Extra Strong Spearmint arrived in 1996, with the famous slogan, Trebor Mints are a minty bit stronger. Moving away from mints, Trebor created Softfruits in 1986. But, as Trebor are the mint people, Softfruits was adopted by Bassetts and now exist as part of Bassett's Sweetshop Favourites range.
