Description
Grown and cured to perfection in Indonesia, in the Pacific Ocean, just off the north coast of Australia, the Indonesian Tahitensis vanilla features a different flavour to the more common Madagascan vanilla pods, the pods tend to be drier, but this makes the extraction easier. As a result, they have a flowery, fruity aroma with a smooth flavour described as smelling like liquorice, cherries or wine. They are favourites with pastry chefs for preparing delicious pastries, sweets and desserts. It's not just for sweet things; it adds a subtle aroma to savoury dishes, mainly fish and seafood. It is beautiful when added to sugar, light rum or vodka.
