CLAIRE S HANDMADE STORY - Claire s Handmade began at home in 2003 with my mother s treasured Aga jam pan, my grandmother s plum chutney recipe, our Rayburn, some plums and a handful of glass jars. We took our Old Fashioned Plum Chutney to a local farmers market and customers loved it. It soon became obvious that we couldn t produce enough chutney from our kitchen at home and so we moved into dedicated purpose-built kitchen. The business, in the heart of the north Cumbrian countryside on the edge of the Lake District National Park, has continued to grow and we have gained many loyal preserve-loving friends. Along the way we have won many awards and accolades for our products and continue to produce our products with the same passion and commitment as we did when we started.
