Description

Pantenger Japanese Sencha Green Tea has a delicate aroma of cut grass and seaweed with a floral aftertaste. Aromas will vary with temperature. For best results, infuse at 170 F for 60 to 90 seconds. Pantenger Sencha is organically grown in Kagoshima Prefecture in Japan by a ninth-generation family-owned tea estate that has accumulated over 250 years of artisan expertise. The First Flush of Spring is the first harvest of the year, and the leaves contain three times more L-theanine than the second or summer harvest. Pantenger also contains high levels of antioxidants and amino acids.

Features

  • Pantenger Sencha Green Tea Bags: The First Flush of Spring or Icheban is the first harvest of the year. The new leaves contain the most compounds. Icheban teas are particularly prized for a reason: they make Japans most extraordinary teas
  • Sencha Flavor and Aroma: Vegetable based, from sauted spinach to roasted seaweed, it is reminiscent of the scent of sea breeze. The aftertaste is sweet for a green tea and refreshing. It has a complex, mouth-filling flavor
  • The needle like leaf shape is emerald green. The liquor is an intense yellowish green and a little cloudy, a sign of high quality Japanese tea. It becomes clear after settling for a few minutes. Sencha Tea Bags - 100 Tea Bags
  • Pantenger Sencha is shaded for 2 weeks before the leaves are plucked. The absence of sunlight increases the levels of amino acids, and the tea is mellow and less astringent
  • Pantenger Organic Sencha First Flush is organically grown in Kagoshima on Kyushu, the southernmost island of Japan. The region is known as the Organic Capital of Japan and has never been contaminated with radiation
