This organic sencha is produced in Kagoshima Prefecture. We use rare, high-quality first-grade tea from which only the tender parts of the sprouts are picked. The new sprouts, which have grown up with plenty of nutrients during the winter, have concentrated flavor components. Kagoshima Prefecture's sencha has been awarded Japan's top prize (production area prize) at the National Tea Fair for 21 consecutive years to date. This tea is blended mainly with tea leaves from Chiran and Kirishima, two of the highest quality tea producing areas in Kagoshima Prefecture.
