PREMIUM ORGANIC JAPANESE HOJICHA ROASTED GREEN TEA POWDER: Hojicha green tea powder is made from roasted Japanese green tea, harvested in Shizuoka prefecture. Sencha and Kukicha green tea leaves are steamed, roasted, and then milled to create this aromatic green tea powder that is naturally sweet and smooth. The organic green tea powder has a lower caffeine content than regular steamed green teas, and can be used as a Japanese green tea latte powder, or to make smoothies, cakes or desserts. Hojicha green tea powder can also be prepared like traditional Matcha. Boil fresh water in a kettle and allow to cool to around 80C. Pre-heat your matcha bowl by filling it 1/3 full with hot water. Stand a bamboo whisk (Chasen) in the water for a minute to soften the bristles, then empty and dry the bowl. Add two bamboo scoops (Chashaku) - about 2g - of Hojicha green tea powder to the bowl. Pour 60-100ml of hot water into the matcha bowl and whisk for 1-2 minutes until the tea becomes frothy. Drink the organic green tea directly from the bowl.
