Description
Description In 1922, Joseph Kresevich arrived in the United States from Trieste, Italy and began working in various neighborhood bakeries of New York City. He grew to love the craft so much that he began mixing, baking and researching his own recipes. Six years later Joseph married Angela, an expert baker in her own right. They established their own neighborhood bakery and called it Stella Doro, which means star of gold. The bakery offered a select variety of lightly sweet Italian baked goods made by the Italian couple. Throughout the years they began selling the treats under the Stella Doro Biscuit Co. name. Today, Stella Doro is a welcomed and important part of the Snyders-Lance family of brands.
